=====================================

YOU ASKED FOR IT… IT'S HERE… AND IT'S FREE!

For the first time in the history of the Countryside YMCA, Adult Fitness Classes are now included in your monthly membership.

Every year in the Member Satisfaction Survey, you've told us to include more with our membership, specifically, adult fitness classes. Well, you asked, and we listened. Starting in January adult fitness classes will be FREE to members. That means: no registration, no additional fees, no limits, no planning ahead - just show up and take a class.

As a Countryside YMCA member, you can now attend as many classes as you like per month at no additional cost, including:
-- Core (Step & Ball) -- Stretch/Sit & Tone
-- Moving Into Fitness -- Strive (Child, Adult, & Senior)
-- Shape with Weights -- Cardio Kick Boxing
-- Hi/Lo Aerobics -- Step Classes

That's 114 free classes offered each week (5,130 classes per year if you are up to it) - all free with your membership. Even if you've never taken a fitness class before, there's no better time than now to have fun and get fit.

How will it work?
Check out the schedule on pages 10-11 for a list of classes and times. Come a little early the day of your class to get used to the new process. Thirty minutes prior to the start of each class, a sign-in sheet will be posted outside the studio. Sign your name and membership number, and enter the studio at the scheduled time. That's all there is to it! Remember, you will no longer need to register for these classes!

Attention Program Members
If you aren't a member of the Y, there's no better time than now to join. Membership is just a little more than the cost of a 5-week session of fitness classes. And, Specialty Fitness Classes will continue to be open to members and non-members alike.

Specialty Classes
There are a few specialty fitness classes that are not included for free in your membership, yet will remain available for registration with a fee. Specialty Fitness Classes include Yoga, Pilates, Creative Dance Aerobics, Aqua Fitness classes, Ab Crunch and Cycle/Spin. Generally these classes require advanced certifications, specialized equipment or are new to our fitness programs. We'll continue to evaluate classes for future inclusion.

Flex Cards
There is no longer a need for Flex Cards for Adult Fitness Classes. Specialty Flex Cards will be available for drop-in participation in fee-based classes. If you have classes left on your current flex card, you can use them until the end of the year. If you still have punches remaining, you can use them for most Specialty Classes until March 31, 2007. See front desk for details.

The staff and volunteers of the Countryside YMCA are very excited about this dramatic change to our fitness classes. Now, your membership is worth more than ever. We know there will be bumps as we transition to the new system, but we think you'll find the transition worth it!

A MONTHLY MEMBERSHIP NOW INCLUDES OVER 456 FITNESS CLASSES.
WHICH ONES WILL MOVE YOU?

2008 Membership Rate
The Ralph J. Stolle Countryside YMCA Board of Directors voted on November 2007 to approve a membership rate increase for 2008. A letter was mailed out stating your new automatic bank draft for membership, and will reflect the rate increase beginning January 2008. If your status is currently “new member”, the new rates will take effect after you have your first full year. We are pleased to be able to keep the increases to a minimum in light of huge increases in utility, labor, and facility upgrades.
