EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS
MUSICAL MAYHEM MOMMY AND ME: Designed especially for parents and young children this call is a wonderful bonding experience. Learn songs and games to help develop your child's motor skills and meet other parents. A fun way to spend time with your child.

KIDS DAY OUT: A fun morning making crafts and new friends. Learn a new Spanish word each Friday. Bring a sack lunch, and a drink. Come to have fun, children must be potty trained.

PRESCHOOL SPANISH: There is no better time to start learning a second language than when you are young. A fun way to teach children a new language through crafts and activities. Beginner Spanish class. This class is designed to teach Spanish to pre schoolchildren through song, art, and play.

CREATIVE COOKING: Your child will enjoy a morning of fun and cooking, while learning basic cooking items that will help your child begin their cooking adventure. Children will learn basic cooking skills, tools, and terminology while creating fun treats. Story time included. Material fee $2.00 this class is offered on Thursday mornings.

COOKING WITH CHILDREN: Children love to cook! Children will learn basic cooking skills and terminology while creating fun foods, and treats, while having fun and making new friends. ALL ABOUT ORIGAMI: A beginner class to learn the ancient art of paper folding. We will make creatures that jump and fly, as well as flower and boxes with some surprises. Material fee for paper will be $3.00 pay to instructor.

INTRODUCTION TO SING LANGUAGE 1: This class introduces American Sign Language to children in theme oriented classes that include vocabulary, an in class activity, and perhaps a song. We will work on our alphabet, and there may be short home projects. At the beginning of each class, we will review from previous classes and share our homework. There will be take home flyers to help parents out at home. This is a fun place to learn sign with no grades and no tests. As children progress so, will the class.

BEGINNER SIGN 1: This class introduces American Sign Language to young adults and adults in an activity packed class setting. Each week we will work on new vocabulary, the alphabet, finger spelling, and some basic grammatical syntax. There will be small homework assignments, class activities, and lots of review. This is a fun place to learn sign with no grades, no tests and no pressure. Books available $11.00

123 SIGN WITH ME 1: 123 sign with me is a fun introduction to American Sign Language for Preschoolers and Kindergarteners. Each week will have a theme (animals, holidays, etc.) that will include vocabulary, a short song, and a craft. We will review highlights from previous weeks and will have take home flyers to help parents out at home. This class is set up so Kindergartens can join in before kindergarten or after. Morning and Afternoon class.

SAFE SITTER: This is a one-day training workshop to learn babysitting skills. Students must pass practical and written test to receive a babysitting certification. Students learn: child development, Heimlich, behavior management, and more. Manual are $15.00. Bring a sack lunch and a drink. Sign up at front desk.

YOUNG ADULT PROFESSIONAL COSMETIC MAKE-UP CLASS: Learn basic make up techniques by a professional makeup artist. The class teaches how to customize you look to bring out your best features while expanding your knowledge of skin and different kinds of make up. You will be using makeup you buy at any drug store.

BEGINNER'S SPANISH FOR ADULTS: This class is designed to teach Spanish to students with little or no experience with the language. Perfect for adults who want to learn Spanish for work, travel, mission trips, or fun. One time book fee $20.00

BEGINNING TAP 1: Basic tap steps will be introduced and incorporated into short routines with upbeat music and fun. Designed for students who are 4 to 5 years old. Requirements black tap shoes, leotard and tights any color. This tap will participate in the Recital on May 12th.

INTRODUCTION TO PARTY DANCE: Preteen and teens a formal NFL dancer teaches you the latest and coolest dance moves to prepare you for your next party or prom event.

LATIN-SALSA DANCE: Learn HOT Latin and salsa dancing! Don't worry….we start with the basics. We cover salsa-merengue, rumba/bolero and salsa-mambo. Perfect for cruise or nightclub. No experience necessary. We cannot guarantee a partner, so we suggest you bring one. Instructed by: Dave

BALLROOM DANCE: For 10 years at Countryside YMCA, this class has taught even beginners how to dance! We cover the basics of fast and slow dancing with a partner focusing on dances like Swing, Foxtrot and Waltz. No experience necessary. Perfect for wedding receptions, cruises, parties, proms. BEGINNER HIP/HOP-JUMP AND JAZZ 1: Learn the latest dance moves from the high school musical and more. The class teaches a fun approach to dance and promotes coordination, rhythm creativity and self-esteem.
