Come and enjoy a variety of Aquatic programs in the Senior Center Pool. We offer various levels of exercise to accommodate all of our members. All classes are safe and fun. Come enjoy the warm water and fellowship.

"Triple A" Active Adults With Arthritis

Do you have arthritis? Would you like to be more active (or continue to stay active)? Join our "Triple A" class. Certified instructors lead the class through the Arthritis Foundation/YMCA Aquatic Program with exercises designed to improve range of motion and flexibility. Participants should consult their physician first.

39-N-Holdling
This water exercise class is designed to keep you feeling fine. Like the "Triple A" program, none of the exercises stress the joints, but provide increased flexibility, cardiovascular endurance and improved circulation. Preferred fro those with bad knees, ankles, backs, or those showing signs of arthritis. Come exercise in an environment of fun and fitness.

Water Walking
A 45-minute class in the Senior Center Pool designed to increase cardiovascular fitness, lower body strength, and balance. Class will walk 30-40 minutes with stretching at the end. Swimming ability is not required. Shoes are recommended.

Water Fitness
This hour long class incorporates everything found in "land classes". Starting with a warm-up, 20-40 minutes of aerobic fitness, followed by strength training. Class ends with a cool down and stretch. Participants should be looking for an intermediate level of activity or more.

Adult Beginners- Swim Lessons
Afraid of the water? Never learned to swim as a child? Or, you know how to swim, but were never taught the correct technique? Let "America's Favorite Swim Instructor" put you at ease. This class is for you. Class size kept to a minimum for more individualized attention.

L.A.F.F.-Lap & Fitness Fun
Countryside Senior Center members may come in and swim in the Senior Center Pool at set times. You do not have to be a member of the 50 Mile Club to participate. However, if you are in the 50 Mile Club, you may apply laps from the "L.A.F.F." class to your lap total. An instructor will be present to help with stroke improvement. Sign up for class is required. All levels of swimmers are invited. You must be a member of the YMCA Senior Center to participate. See the schedule for class times.
