Ballroom by Dave

Our goal is to make your ballroom dancing experience the best ever. Whatever your schedule or your personal dancing goals, dance a little, or dance a lot, the YMCA has the staff to help you learn how to dance. Students taking ballroom can join us once a month at the YExpress for an evening of Dine and Dance.

BALLROOM BEGINNER
So you want to ballroom dance? You are about to enter a world of class, tradition, and loads of fun. The good news, it's easier than you can imagine. For 10 years at the Countryside YMCA, this class has taught beginners how to dance! We cover the basics of fast and slow dancing with a partner focusing on dances like swing, foxtrot, and waltz. No experience necessary. Perfect for wedding receptions, cruises, parties, proms. We cannot guarantee a partner.
BALLROOM INTERMEDIATE
More ballroom and Latin dancing! Learn more figures and more dances. Note: you must have taken the beginner's class. People of all ages are returning to partner dances such as swing, waltz, tango and many others. Not only are they returning to these dances they are adding their own twists and steps. Dance provides a well-rounded program of fitness and combines utilization of the body, mind, and most essentially, the spirit. If you are looking for it all, dance is where you can find it. We cannot guarantee a partner. Ballroom dance is here to meet your needs. So, let's get started. Try our Friday night Practice dance at the Y Express.
