Cheer and Tumbling

Appropriate dress required!! Please wear leotard or elastic waisted shorts with t-shirt (no zippers, belts, buckles, skirts or jeans shorts).

CHEER/TUMBLE:
This class will spend 50% of the class time on tumbling skills specific to the needs of a cheerleader. The rest of the time will be devoted to cheers, chants, arm movements, and jumps. Appropriate dress required.
BEGINNER TUMBLING:
You will work on cartwheels, handstands, forward & backward rolls, round-off w/rebound, and backbends. Upstairs Hallway is located near the Cycle Studio. Appropriate dress required.
INTERMEDIATE TUMBLING:
Must have all skills mastered from beginner level w/good form before moving onto this level. Will work on limbers, walkovers, back handsprings and more. Appropriate dress required.
ADVANCED TUMBLING:
You must have all skills mastered from Intermediate level with good form before moving onto this level. You will work on back handsprings, round off back handsprings, tucks, and more. Appropriate dress required.
THE ULTIMATE CHEER CLASS I
This class is designed for girls ages 5-6 who are interested in becoming a cheerleader (or currently cheering).  The class focus will be on learning cheers, motions and arm placement, jumps, and will include some poise and presentation practice.  Focus will also be placed on self-confidence and practicing a positive attitude.  This class is taught by current Cincinnati Ben-Gal Cheerleader and former Cincinnati Reds Cheerleader Lauren Anderson at the Y Express.
THE ULTIMATE CHEER CLASS II
This class is designed for girls ages 7-12 who are interested in becoming a cheerleader (or currently cheering).  The class focus will be on learning cheers, motions and arm placement, jumps, and will include some poise and presentation practice.  More advanced cheers and jumps will be taught in this class along with cheer technique and etiquette.  Focus will also be placed on self-confidence and practicing a positive attitude.  This class is taught by current Cincinnati Ben-Gal Cheerleader and former Cincinnati Reds Cheerleader Lauren Anderson at the Y Express.
