Countryside YMCA

Ground breaking for our 107,000 square foot main building occurred in the spring of 1977. With an ambitious goal of becoming one of the finest YMCA facilities in the United States, the Countryside YMCA was well on its way to establishing a reputation for excellence throughout southwest Ohio and the nation.
Our original building committee of Ralph Stolle, Neil Armstrong, and Charles Hamilton did a superb job in design and layout.
The building opened September 15, 1978 and was dedicated November 6, 1978. A mortgage-burning ceremony was held on April 19, 1985, and in June of 1988 a day camp shelter was completed—complete with electric, water, and bathrooms. With the addition of our Children's Center in 1989 and Senior Center in 1995 our facility grew to over 130,000 square feet.
Our significant growth of members and program participants has created the need to expand our facility and program venues—by an additional 88,000 square feet. An extensive review of community needs has led to the following priorities for the Ralph J. Stolle Countryside YMCA:
- In 2001 the Addition was completed which provided our facility with a state-of-the-art aquatic center, soccer complex, gymnasium, cardio-fitness center and indoor running track!
- Developed collaboration with MRH a local health care provider
- Enhance and expanded use of current program venues
- Renovation and expansion of our outdoor facilities
Thank you again for your wonderful support of the Countryside YMCA. With the fantastic growth of our service area, this facility expansion has positioned our YMCA to serve the next generation of Warren County families.
