YMCA programs teach young people important values such as caring, honesty, responsibility, respect and faith. They also develop valuable skills while they gain confidence and self-esteem. You simply can’t put a price on strengthening and enriching the character of a child.
Your contributions to the Caring for Families Campaign make a difference now more than ever. Recently, the state of Ohio drastically reduced funding to children and families for childcare expenses; many of whom are single parents. These changes have created an additional need for us to help some of our community families so that they are able to continue to take advantage of our values based Childcare programs while they work to become more self sufficient themselves over time.
Last year we provided financial assistance for programs and membership to over 2,200 children, adults and seniors. Please click here to view our brochure. You may wish to view a video that also highlights our campaign and our special outreach programs. Click here for our video.
Children were able to participate in summer camps, swimming lessons and youth sports that otherwise would not have had an opportunity without support from caring individuals like you.
No gift is too small. What better way to live the spirit and Mission of the Y! Remember, the funds you contribute remain local in our community. Please consider a tax deductible gift to narrow the gap of loss to these children and families.
