High Adventure

High Adventure Camps provides older youth with intense, outdoor summer activities including kayaking, canoeing and fly fishing. Each week campers spend the morning learning safety and techniques from experienced or certified instructors. In the afternoon, campers swim, or participate in other games and sports.

  • Climbing. Campers learn climbing safety and a variety of techniques and methods from certified climbing instructors. Campers climb in the Summit Climbing Center. Open to novice to advanced climbers. 
  • Fly Fishing. Participants learn the fundamentals of fly fishing as they gain competency in casting, fly tying, and equipment care and maintenance. Equipment provided, if needed. Campers fish at local ponds on Thursday and Friday, weather permitting.
  • Extreme Expedition. Campers experience a different activity each day, including climbing, rafting, kayaking and canoeing at Morgan’s Canoe Livery, weather permitting.
  • Kayaking. Participants learn the basics of kayaking to prepare for a trip down the Little Miami River from Morgan’s Canoe Livery, weather permitting.
  • Adrenaline. Campers participate in high-intensity games and activities such as an extreme triathlon and survival trekking. The highlight of the week is a trip to Camp Kern for zip lining. See ozonezips.com for zip line restrictions and requirements.
  • Canoeing. Participants learn proper paddling, steering, and safety procedures in the pool. Campers go to Morgan’s Canoe Livery on Thursday and Friday to canoe down the Little Miami River, weather permitting.
